They even upgraded my room as a special birthday surprise. The room itself was spacious and full of character, with exposed beams and traditional furnishings. The modern bathroom was a pleasant surprise, with a luxurious shower and all the amenities I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a restful night's sleep. The bar was well-stocked, and the reasonably priced drinks were a bonus. The restaurant menu had a great selection, and I thoroughly enjoyed the ham hock, egg, and chips. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and attentive, despite being busy with a large party. The breakfast the next morning was delicious, with a variety of hot and cold options. I had a wonderful experience at this inn and would highly recommend it.

It's conveniently located at a road junction, making it easily accessible to main stations like Reading.
