I was initially disappointed when I booked a double room but was given a twin room instead. However, I understood that it was not the hotel's fault as it was mentioned in the small print. Despite this, the lady at reception was very friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. She truly made a positive impression on us.

The room was a bit too hot and noisy when we opened the window due to outside noise. The fried breakfast lacked options for vegans, with no tomatoes or mushrooms available.

My stay at Holiday Inn Express was fantastic. The location was excellent, making it easy for me to explore the historic city of Chester. The hotel had all the facilities I needed, including parking and fast WiFi. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast, although not extensive, was hot and fresh. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the city walls and close to all the tourist spots. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast has a good selection of foods and there is plenty of parking available. The hotel also provides free tea, coffee, water, and orange juice throughout your stay.

The rooms could use some refurbishment as the furnishings look tired and the bathroom fittings are rickety. Some of the shower doors don't meet properly and the floor feels sticky.

The hotel had a convenient location, with a 10-minute walk to the town center and a scenic stroll along the river Dee. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist. The rooms were clean, well-presented, fully equipped, and connected to the children's room, allowing for quality family time. The breakfast offered a wonderful variety of choices, including delicious orange juice.

The value for money at the hotel was excellent, with a clean and bright room that had a separate shower and no fixed shower head. The location was convenient for walking into the city and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The value for money was incredible, especially with the amazing non-refundable price we got. The room was comfortable and had a nice settee, and the powerful shower was a real treat. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the Town and the beautiful old city centre. The staff, especially David and George, treated us exceptionally well and made our stay special.

The breakfast selection could be improved, particularly the bacon and sausages. The bacon seemed overcooked and hard to chew, and the sausages were too fat for my taste.

This hotel is ideally placed for sightseeing in the city centre and at the racecourse next to the Roman walls, with excellent facilities and proper single beds. The rooms with the view over Chester racecourse are beautiful.

We had a nice break away from home at the Holiday Inn Express. The room was modern and had good facilities, including an excellent shower. We enjoyed the view of the racecourse from our room, and the bed was comfy for a restful sleep. Additionally, the bar had Bodingtons, which was a nice touch.
