the hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city center of Edinburgh. the room was cozy and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. the staff were friendly and welcoming, and I especially appreciated the nice touch of having tea, coffee, biscuits, and chocolates provided in the room. the hotel itself had a lovely building and impressive hallway, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. it was great value for money and I would highly recommend Playfair House for a visit to Edinburgh.

Located in a convenient area with easy access to public transport and nearby attractions. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to offer suggestions and assistance. The room was clean with comfortable beds and the breakfast was adequate.

The room was quite small and lacked space for storage, which made staying there for an extended period not ideal. The noise levels were high, as the walls were thin and sounds could easily be heard from other rooms. Additionally, the bathroom was cramped and the shower water pressure was low.

Free tea, coffee, and biscuits in the room, plus a refill station for late-night cravings. Street parking available. Spacious rooms with super comfy beds. Great value for money, despite some minor wear and tear. Polite and friendly staff, with chocolates on the pillow as a nice touch. Surprisingly quiet location. Derek, the concierge, is mind-blowingly incredible. Don't miss the restaurant downstairs for mind-blowing Persian cuisine cooked in a tandoor oven. Definitely coming back and highly recommend. Convenient buses to explore the entire city. Free wifi, bar, lounge, restaurant, kettle, breakfast, and even pet-friendly!

We had a delightful stay at Playfair House. Derek, who greeted us, was incredibly friendly and polite. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The little touches, like chocolates on the bed and well-stocked tea and coffee supplies, added a nice touch to our stay. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was lovely. Additionally, the location of the hotel was perfect. We were only a few minutes away from the main shopping area and train station. There may not have been breakfast offered, but there were plenty of cafes and restaurants right at our doorstep. we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Playfair House.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a friendly housekeeper checking us in. The bathroom was also clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with a choice of cereal or a full English, served by the helpful staff. the hotel offered great amenities and a convenient location for our stay.

We were disappointed to find out that the hotel did not provide free car parking, despite the initial information stating otherwise.
