We recently stayed at Hunter Cottage in Haltwhistle for a week, and it was the perfect location for exploring Hadrian's Wall and Vindolanda. The comfortable beds and good shower made for a relaxing stay, and the garden was a lovely spot to enjoy the nice weather. Alan, who takes care of the cottages, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The cottage itself was well-equipped and clean, and we loved watching the birds in the small garden. a peaceful and enjoyable experience.

We loved our stay at the cottage in Haltwhistle. The location was fantastic, with easy access to Hadrian's Wall and other attractions along the route. The cottage itself had a charming old-style decor and was well-equipped with kitchen supplies. Lyn, our helpful contact, provided us with valuable knowledge about the area. We didn't even need to use our car, as the 685 bus, operated by Stagecoach, runs hourly right along Hadrian's Wall, and the Haltwhistle station was a short walk away. We particularly enjoyed the peaceful garden, where we were lucky enough to sit and watch the birds.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like! 😊
