The communication at this establishment can be quite poor, leading to issues such as missed table reservations and a lack of information regarding the availability of kitchen facilities.

I recently stayed at the Kings Head - Riverside in Ravenstonedale for a weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The barmaid even moved her car so we could park closer to unload our car. The breakfast before checkout was amazing and the dinner was fantastic as well. The hotel's location next to the river was peaceful and we enjoyed spotting red squirrels. The decor and ambience captured the feel of a 17th century inn while still offering modern comforts. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, and the grounds were beautiful. a wonderful experience.

The breakfast was delicious, especially the scrambled eggs! The room was beautifully designed and very spacious. The surrounding area was stunning, with picturesque village views and plenty of public footpaths to explore. It was great that the hotel was dog-friendly, making it convenient for pet owners.

There were a few downsides to our stay. We were not informed that there was no kitchen until we arrived, which meant we couldn't book an alternative for dinner.

We had a lovely 1-night stay at this fantastic, dog-friendly hotel/pub. The room was modern, airy, and well-decorated with a large, modern bathroom. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome and at home. The breakfast was delicious, and the owners/staff created a great atmosphere throughout our stay. The location in a pretty village, with a scenic view over the field and church, was perfect. We can't wait to stay here again in the future.
