We had an absolutely delightful stay at a guesthouse in the Lake District. The location was perfect, with both Windermere and Bowness just a short walk away. The room was clean, spacious, and had a cozy four-poster bed. The breakfasts were delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. The hosts, Paula and Richard, were incredibly helpful and provided us with great recommendations for activities and walks in the area. I highly recommend this guesthouse for a wonderful Lake District experience.

The Lake District area is also within reach, offering beautiful scenery and outdoor activities. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and well-equipped bathrooms. The friendly and helpful staff provide excellent service, and the breakfast options are varied and cater to different dietary needs. Guests can also enjoy amenities such as electric vehicle charging and complimentary toiletries.

They went out of their way to ensure that I had a great experience. the breakfast they served was delicious, with a range of options to choose from. the rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were up to standard. the location of the guest house was ideal, situated between the center of Windermere and Bowness. Both were just a short 10-minute walk away, offering plenty of dining options. I had a wonderful time and would definitely book here again on my next visit to the area.

The owners were incredibly friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The beds were so comfortable and I had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was excellent, and I really appreciated that they accommodated my vegan diet. The area around the guest house was quiet and beautiful, with easy walking access to Bowness and the center of Windermere. I especially loved using the local buses, which were convenient and the drivers were always helpful. I'll definitely be staying at Kirkwood again!

The room amenities were top-notch, including ironing facilities, a comfortable sitting area, and modern furnishing. The hotel also had a beautiful garden with comfortable furniture to relax in. The breakfast provided was delicious, with a wide selection of options to choose from. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that my stay was enjoyable.

Furthermore, the ideal location allowed us to easily explore the nearby attractions, with many within walking distance. My family and I recently stayed at the lovely Kirkwood Guest House for a few nights. The location was ideal for exploring the nearby villages, and our room was not only beautiful but also very comfortable. The four-poster bed was incredibly cozy, and the bedding felt soft and spotlessly clean. What really set this hotel apart was the exceptional service provided by Richard and Paula. They were incredibly attentive and friendly, going out of their way to accommodate our needs as we are both autistic. The breakfast served was fantastic, providing a delicious start to our day of exploring. We highly recommend staying at Kirkwood Guest House for a longer, truly enjoyable experience.

Had a good xmas break, thanks. Breakfast was yum and included a nice selection of fresh fruits. Room was located in a great area with easy access to town centre and nearby walks. Also appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee in the room.

There wasn't any heating in the bathroom which made showering an uncomfortable experience during winter. the bed was pretty squeaky and creaky which didn't make for a restful night's sleep.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, providing great advice on local hikes and even checking the weather for me. The cleanliness of the room was outstanding, and the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep. The location, nestled between two popular hotspots, allowed for easy transportation to the nearby shops in Windermere. We also enjoyed a delicious pre-ordered breakfast with a great selection of choices.
