The staff at this hotel were friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home during our Christmas stay. The location was ideal, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation options. One of the best aspects was the delicious food, with a variety of options to choose from. We especially enjoyed the cozy lounge area with a real fire, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

One of the worst aspects of our stay was that the hotel was a bit off the beaten track, making it a bit inconvenient to reach certain destinations. Additionally, the room we stayed in only had one armchair, which made it a bit uncomfortable for two people.

Additionally, the bedroom had a good supply of fair trade tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, adding a special touch to the overall experience. I had a pleasant and memorable stay at Knoll Country House and would definitely recommend it.

knoll country house was even better than my previous stay in windermere. the beautiful decor and comfortable rooms made for a perfect getaway. the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was exquisite. highly recommended!

I recently had a wonderful 4-day break at a charming country house nestled in a tranquil location near Lake Windermere. The house offers elegantly furnished double and twin bedrooms, each uniquely styled. The spacious dining room serves a delicious breakfast with a variety of options, including a full English or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. The house is tastefully decorated with a mix of Victorian charm and modern twists. The location is ideal for exploring nearby attractions such as Coniston water or Keswick.

The check-in process could be improved by providing more information about the surrounding area and nearby activities.

We stayed at the Retreat at The Knoll for 2 nights and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff at Knoll Country House Guest House were welcoming, helpful, and friendly throughout our stay. The Retreat itself is cozy and filled with thoughtful little details that made it feel like more than just a typical hotel suite. We especially enjoyed the delicious and generous breakfasts. The highlight of our trip was relaxing in the fantastic hot tub after dark, sipping champagne and stargazing. The location in the stunning Lakes area was the icing on the cake. What more could you want?

We got great value for our money at the Knoll! The room was cozy and had nice touches like toiletries in the bathroom. The location was lovely and the staff treated us like family.

I recently stayed at Knoll Country House for a weekend getaway. The staff/owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel like old friends. The house was well-maintained and spotless. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The atmosphere was relaxed yet the service was five-star. We left feeling relaxed and well taken care of, and can't wait to return someday.
