I recently stayed at the Laird & Dog Inn for the weekend and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The bed was so comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The breakfast had a good variety of options, and the cooked breakfast was delicious. The convenience of the bus stop right outside the hotel made it easy to explore Edinburgh. excellent value for money.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, with a bus stop right outside the door for easy access to the Edinburgh area. The lovely new conservatory in the restaurant is a great place to dine from about 7-8pm. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious. Additionally, there is a private car park available for guests.

Some of the rooms may have small bathrooms and doors that don't shut properly.

The staff were excellent, making us feel welcome and complimenting us on our appearance for our wedding. The bus stop right outside the pub provided convenient transportation to Edinburgh city centre, with frequent service every 12 minutes during the day. The location was ideal for us, close to the wedding venue, and there was a handy pedestrian crossing nearby. The breakfast was delicious and the main meals were outstanding. We also enjoyed the warm conservatory area at the hotel.

The location of the hotel was perfect for us, as it allowed us to easily drive to the places we wanted to visit. We also liked that there was a public bus stop right outside the hotel, making it convenient to explore the area without having to drive. Additionally, the parking facility was great, and we enjoyed ending our day with a pint at the friendly pub on the premises. The people at the hotel were also wonderful and made our stay enjoyable.

The room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a Christmas stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome. The location was great, with easy access to the city center and attractions. Plus, the food at the pub was delicious.

The room was a bit chilly, which made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy our stay. there was some noise from the pub downstairs, which made it hard to sleep at times.

The location of the hotel was great, with easy access into the center of Edinburgh via a bus right outside the door. Parking was also convenient and we were able to leave our car there for the day after check-out. The breakfast was superb and the evening meal was also great.

The room was very basic and had limited clothing space. there were some small maintenance issues like a loose toilet seat and towels with a faint vinegar smell.

The location is ideal for visiting Edinburgh, just 6 miles away with an excellent bus route. Buses run frequently, even at night. The food, both dinner and breakfast, were excellent and good value for money. a great place to stay, especially during the Fringe and Tattoo season.

The surrounding area is also very pretty, adding to the overall charm of the place. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with good heating. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, making our stay even better. The breakfast served was tasty and there was plenty of choice. The bar and restaurant area were also very nice.

The walls in the rooms were a bit thin, which made it possible to hear noises from the neighboring rooms.

Adam was friendly, shared history, cooked delicious Scottish breakfast. Fun pub with live music. Clean and well-kept hotel with a good selection of real ales, wine, and spirits. Fantastic evening meal, best mussels. Lovely Scottish breakfast. Friendly, polite, and helpful staff. Quiet room, heard zero noise. Free parking.
