Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Lauren House for 3 nights in the family room. From the moment we arrived, Jackie warmly greeted us and helped us with our luggage. The room was not only spacious and spotlessly clean, but it also had all the amenities we needed, including a comfortable travel cot for our two-year-old son. The selection of toiletries and refreshments, such as teas, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits. We were even provided with cold bottled water each evening. Jackie went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, offering to go to the shops if our son needed any specific cereal. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing, freshly prepared to order, and even our son had his own toddler bowl and cup. The hospitality of Jackie, her husband Jim, and daughter Lauren, along with their friendly dog Holly, made us feel like part of the family. We appreciated the small gestures like a coloring pad and crayons for our son at breakfast and some chocolate buttons before we left. Lauren House is truly a brilliant and family-friendly place to stay, and we can't wait to go back. Thank you for everything!

They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and even provided special treats for the occasion. Finally, the location was perfect. It was conveniently located near key attractions and shops, making it easy to explore the area.

I recently spent a few nights at this charming bed and breakfast and I have to say, I was impressed! The room was tidy and clean, and I appreciated the fresh towels provided each day. It was also nice to have a selection of snacks and hot drinks available in the dining room whenever I needed them. In terms of location, it was a short walk to the city center with plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. Plus, the owner was very helpful in recommending places to eat and visit in the area.

I enjoyed a pleasant one-night stay while breaking a journey between England and Scotland. Jackie, the lovely host, made me feel at home in her beautiful, spotlessly clean house. The comfortable bed and powerful shower ensured a great night's sleep. The hearty cooked breakfast set me up for the day. Dumfries is a cracking little town full of history, perfect for a leisurely walk along the beautiful River Nith. Many thanks to Jackie for a fantastic stay!
