Karen, the host, was exceptionally friendly, and the room was beautifully decorated. The breakfast was superb, and the beds were very comfortable. Despite a refund issue, the location was perfect. The room had good natural lighting and was well-equipped. Staff were genuinely caring.

The room was clean and well presented with modern furnishings and comfortable bedding. the breakfast offered a hearty meal with a good variety of options to choose from. the staff were friendly and provided helpful information about the area. the location was convenient, being within walking distance of key attractions in the area.

There were no cotton buds or tissues, which are usually expected in most hotels. the room did not have any complimentary snacks, such as biscuits, which I have found in other hotels.

We had a wonderful stay at this place! The location was perfect, just a short walk from the seafront and many restaurants and attractions. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The housekeeping was top-notch, as our room was immaculate and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the ironing facilities, heating, and tea and coffee facilities in the room. The terrace and garden area were lovely, providing a peaceful and relaxing environment. we had a fantastic experience here and would highly recommend it to our family!

Amazing hospitality and attention to detail!

We recently stayed at a guest house and were blown away by the genuine warmth and care we received. The host went above and beyond, parking our car and carrying our bags - talk about a gentleman! The room was spotlessly clean and we had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, especially the full English. Our waitress was so lovely and always had a bubbly smile. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the town and coast. We can't recommend this place enough for its outstanding service, hospitality, and affordability. we had an incredible stay and would definitely book again without any hesitation.

We had the most amazing romantic escape at this guest house. the room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, creating a cozy and intimate atmosphere for us. the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They were also very helpful in suggesting the best places to visit and things to do in the area. We loved that the guest house was conveniently located near public transport routes, allowing us to easily explore the surrounding areas. the nearby seafront was just a short walk away, providing us with stunning views and a lovely place to relax.

While our overall experience was wonderful, there were a couple of things that could have been improved. parking was a bit of an issue as there were limited spaces available and they were quite narrow.

I stayed for one night on a Saturday and had a great experience at Lawnswood. The location is perfect, situated on a lovely quiet road close to the bay. The room was clean, warm, and the bed was comfortable. I found parking on the street easily, so I didn't need to use the available spaces at the back. The owner and staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and it's clear that they have big plans for the future of the guest house. it was good value for money and I would definitely revisit.

We recently stayed at a guest house just a short walk from the seafront. The location was convenient, not far from the main road that leads to the seafront and close to Torquay town centre. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean, with all the necessary amenities like free WiFi, clean towels, and toiletries. The breakfast was excellent, with a good menu and freshly cooked options. We also appreciated the friendly and helpful owners who provided suggestions for days out and made us feel at home.

The ensuite bathroom in our room was a bit small, but it didn't bother us much.
