We had a wonderful stay at the lodge. It is beautifully situated at the entrance to the Scarr Bandstand and located in a secure and secluded gated site. The area is full of historical importance and the town of Coleford is just a short drive away. The lodge itself is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The owner, Tina, was lovely and provided us with warm greetings and helpful advice on things to do and see. We were also impressed by the friendly and welcoming community of permanent residents in the other lodges. we highly recommend Liberty Lodge as a fantastic base to explore the outstanding natural beauty of the Forest of Dean.

I recently stayed at a lovely lodge in Coleford and had a fantastic time exploring the area. The location was perfect, with easy access to attractions like Perry Grove Railway and Puzzlewood. The lodge itself was a real home away from home, with a well-appointed kitchen and all the amenities I needed, including a washing machine and dishwasher. It was spotlessly clean, from the bed linen to the towels, and even had spacious bath towels. The entrance porch was a bonus when the weather was wet, and I appreciated the little touches that made it feel like a true home from home, like the football pitch opposite where my children could play. The owners were incredibly welcoming and made my stay even more enjoyable. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely return.

The location of the lodge is perfect for those who enjoy walking, with a lovely walk just 2 minutes away. The lodge is in a quieter area compared to others, with only 3 lodges rented out. The owners of the lodges are very welcoming and accommodating. the lodge is in excellent condition, very clean, and offers plenty of bedding. There are also two great eateries within a 10-minute walk.

One of the beds in the lodge was too soft for my personal preference, although I still slept well.

The parking area next to the lodge was not secure and there were no security measures in place. the lodge did not have any outdoor seating or a private garden area, which would have been nice to have during our stay.
