the lion & swan in congleton exceeded my expectations. the staff was so helpful and the breakfast was excellent. i loved the room and the fact that we were upgraded at no extra cost was a pleasant surprise.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lion & Swan. The hotel room was beautifully furnished, with thoughtful touches and a stunning roll top bath under a skylight. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the walk-in shower was a delight. The staff were friendly and professional, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel's location in the center of town made it convenient for exploring Congleton. a lovely break and we would definitely stay here again.

Worst aspects of my stay were the cold room and even colder shower room, especially during the chilly December weather. the heating was turned off overnight, and the lack of underfloor heating in the shower room made it icy cold.
