Convenient location near the town centre and a lovely park for a Christmas concert.

As we stayed in the attic room during warm weather, it got quite hot and we had to sleep with the window open, which led to noise disturbances from the busy main road.

The shower could use an upgrade as it was a bit weak and disappointing. the curtains in the room did not block out the streetlight, making it difficult to achieve complete darkness at night.

My recent stay at Lowdens Guest House was a great experience. The location was perfect, just a short walk into town, making it convenient for exploring. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when they allowed us to check in early so we could change before attending a funeral nearby. It made a difficult day a little less stressful. The free parking opposite Tesco was also a bonus.

I had to find accommodation close to the hospital to visit my mother who had broken her hip. Lowdens Guest House was the perfect choice. the owner doesn't live on site but the key code made it easy to enter. the room was clean and spacious, and clean towels were provided daily. the bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was cleaned to a high standard. the location was also great, just a 5-minute stroll into town. I felt safe and secure during my stay. having a Tesco and Lidl across the road proved very convenient.
