The peaceful and beautiful surroundings, with cows to greet you in the morning, made it a truly delightful experience. The well-maintained grounds around the lake added to the charm, and the hut itself was top-notch. The finish was of 5-star quality, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay. Sam was an absolute star, going above and beyond to accommodate us when we arrived early. His warm welcome and interesting insights into the family farm made our stay even more special. The property is breathtaking, with the huts situated by a peaceful lake perfect for relaxing with a drink. The location is ideal, just a short drive from local attractions and shops. The huts themselves are incredibly cozy and comfortable, providing everything needed to cook a meal. A 10/10 experience that we can't wait to repeat!

The value for money at this Luxury Shepherds Hut was excellent! The room was beautifully designed, with everything we needed and a surprisingly hot and strong shower. The location was perfect, in a quiet area with a stunning view of the lake. The owners were welcoming and lovely, making our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you so much!

The food for breakfast could have been improved with the addition of a wall lamp above the bed.

We had a fantastic stay at the Luxury Shepherds Hut - The Moorhen By The Lake. Sam, the host, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We arrived early, but he was able to check us in without any issues. Sam also shared interesting details about the Shepherds Huts and the family farm. The property itself is beautiful, and the huts are conveniently located next to a tranquil lake. It's only a short drive to local attractions and shops, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The huts were cozy and comfortable, with just the right amount of space for cooking meals. The shower was a pleasant surprise - hot and powerful. We enjoyed sitting by the lake, listening to the birds, and it was also easy to visit York with the Park and Ride buses nearby. a perfect 10/10 stay, and we definitely plan on returning.
