I recently stayed at Macdonald Leeming House for a relaxing getaway. The hotel's location on Ullswater lake was breathtaking, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The staff, particularly Lydia at reception, were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a feature king room, which was beautifully furnished and had a very comfortable bed. The hotel grounds were well-maintained and offered peaceful walking pathways down to the lake. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the changing menu for evening meals. a charming hotel with character and excellent service.

The location of this hotel is truly breathtaking, with its proximity to the stunning Ullswater and a short distance from the charming village of Glenridding. The views from the rooms are absolutely lovely, offering a delightful panorama of the garden and the lake. Additionally, the rooms themselves are spacious and comfortable, with double doors leading to a terrace, providing a peaceful retreat.

The service at the hotel leaves much to be desired, with understaffing being a noticeable issue.

We were enchanted by the stunning scenic views from our room. The location of this hotel is remarkable with its beautiful gardens and shore of Ullswater in the Lake District. The amenities in the room were brilliant and covered all our needs; from 24-hour room service, welcome drink, and tours/ticket assistance to separate tub and shower, terrace and garden furniture. The friendly staff went all out to manage our special requests and make our stay amazing.

Great location with stunning views of the lake. Lovely grounds and gardens, perfect for leisurely walks. Dog-friendly and accommodating for our spaniel. Comfortable beds and pillows. Upgraded room with a balcony and breathtaking views. Courteous and attentive staff who went above and beyond to make our stay special. Enjoyed dinner on our patio while our baby slept.

our recent christmas party at leeming house was incredible. the location in watermillock was perfect, with stunning scenery and a tranquil atmosphere. the staff were friendly and efficient, making us feel welcomed and valued. overall, macdonald exceeded our expectations and made our stay memorable and enjoyable.

Uncomfortable beds.

We had a wonderful stay at Macdonald! The setting was absolutely stunning, with a beautiful terrace, gardens, and views of the lake. Our room was excellent, with a comfy bed, spacious bathroom, and high-quality amenities. The breakfast was superb, with a great variety to choose from. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. We also appreciated the tour of the hotel facilities given by Livia at reception. we really enjoyed our time at Macdonald and would highly recommend it.

Spent New Year's at this hotel, and it was such a lovely experience. the complementary champagne and chocolates were a nice welcome touch! the views from our room were breathtaking, with easy access to a nearby lake and plenty of hiking trails. the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

While we had a great time overall, the breakfast could have been better. the selection was basic and lacked variety, although it was delivered to our room upon request.
