I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at Malmaison. The staff were lovely and made me feel special on my birthday with a card and free cocktails voucher. The room was great, although a bit dark, but the sky bar more than made up for it. The central location was perfect for exploring York.

We stayed at Malmaison for our honeymoon and were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade and complementary champagne. The modern, stylish room was spacious and had a large, comfy bed. The spa was absolutely amazing, and the staff made us feel very welcome.

We loved this place! It was an ideal location to explore the city - everything within a short walk. The service was exceptional, offering room service, dry cleaning, housekeeping, laundry and pet amenities. The rooms were comfortable and packed with amenities such as ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, a flat-screen tv, and soundproofed rooms with garden furniture. The staff especially Scott the Manager on reception desk were friendly and relaxed and could not do enough to accommodate any request. The dining experience was fantastic, and we had excellent in-room breakfast.

Highly recommended for everyone.

We received two lovely complementary drinks at arrival and the location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the city. the rooftop view was also amazing and we enjoyed taking pictures up there.

the parking was confusing and we ended up with a fine. our room was too hot and we couldn't turn down the aircon, making it hard to sleep.

The cleanliness of the room was outstanding, and the hotel facilities were excellent. We also appreciated the convenient parking option provided by the hotel. The location was perfect, as it was within walking distance to all the attractions we visited. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

They made me feel welcome and ensured I had a comfortable stay. the hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to the city center, making it easy for me to explore and visit local attractions. Lastly, the cleanliness of the hotel was impressive, with the rooms and public areas well-maintained and tidy.

One of the downsides of my stay was the breakfast experience. There was also a mix-up with one of my orders on the second morning, and it wasn't resolved satisfactorily.

The breakfast is exceptional, with a wide variety of options including fresh fruits, pastries, cooked breakfasts, and vegan choices.

The lack of availability in the restaurant for evening meals can be frustrating for guests.

Everything was spot on.

We recently upgraded to a family room at this luxurious hotel and were blown away by the level of comfort and quality provided. The room felt more like a suite, with a separate bath and walk-in shower in the huge, clean bathroom. We loved the dressing room area and the fact that there were two wardrobes, offering plenty of storage space. The bedroom itself was spacious and featured a large TV cleverly disguised as a work of art. The window seating area was a lovely addition and provided a relaxing spot to enjoy the views. The separate areas of the suite were perfect for added privacy, especially for those dealing with snoring. The sofa bed in the living room was incredibly comfortable and there was even a Nespresso machine and a fridge. The little touches, like the dressing gowns, slippers, and treats on the tea and coffee tray, made our stay feel extra special.

I had a fantastic stay in this city. The hotel's location was ideal; it was very close to all the city's attractions and amenities. I could easily walk to the city center and explore the sights. The hotel facilities were excellent, particularly the rooftop bar, where I enjoyed a drink with fabulous views. Additionally, the staff were wonderful and very attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. The cleanliness of the hotel was also commendable, and the breakfast provided a great selection of hot and cold food.
