I had a delightful stay at Manor House Hotel in Cockermouth. The food was fantastic, especially the freshly baked brown bread. The classic furnishings and clean surroundings made me feel spoiled. The staff were friendly and chatted with me whenever possible.

Located in the heart of a charming town, this hotel offers a convenient base for exploring the beautiful Lake District. Guests can enjoy drinks and meals in the spacious bar/lounge area, which is well looked after by friendly and welcoming staff. The rooms are peaceful and comfortable, with clean bathrooms equipped with both bathtubs and showers. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, served on hot plates. The hotel also offers ample free parking for guests.

The 10.30am check-out time on weekends may be a bit early for some guests.

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the lovely little town it's situated in. Right in the centre, you'll have plenty of restaurants and shops right on your doorstep. Whether you fancy a cozy pub meal or a fine dining experience, you'll find it all within walking distance.

I must say the breakfast at this hotel was absolutely delectable! The service was brilliant too. The location was also perfect for our city break, it was very easy to access many parts of the city from the hotel. Another great aspect was the fact that there were a lot of parking spots near the hotel. This saved us a lot of time and we didn't need to worry about finding somewhere to park our car.

Our room was very disappointing. We were given a room on the top floor with just a skylight and no other windows.
