I was pleasantly surprised by the apparent upgrade to a luxurious room with a stunning four-poster bed. The handmade chocolates and complimentary whisky were a lovely touch. I also appreciated the provided robes and slippers, which added to the overall comfort. The view of the grounds from my room was absolutely beautiful.

Additionally, the hotel's key location made it convenient for exploring the surrounding area.

The prices of drinks at the bar were quite high, which discouraged us from spending too much time there. It would be better if they were more competitive.

We absolutely loved our stay at Meldrum House! The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, making us feel welcomed and taken care of during our time there. The room we had was excellent, with tasteful furnishings and plenty of space for our family. The large bathroom was a bonus, especially with the fantastic shower. The hotel's attention to detail was impressive, from the well-presented and tasty food to the easy check-in and check-out process. We also appreciated the small touches, like the offer of a bottle of water for our drive home. It truly felt like staying in a lovely, stately mansion with modern comforts.

We spent 10 nights here in January and it was simply excellent! Beautifully presented rooms with small jug of fresh milk in fridge, bottled water, and great selection of toiletries. The staff were all excellent throughout our stay, and the food was also of high quality. The new function suite completely fixed the issue of noise, and the bar extension was lovely. Most of all, we loved the welcoming and attentive staff who made us feel like family. Definitely recommended!

I recently celebrated New Year's at this beautiful hotel and it was a fantastic experience. the room facilities were superb. The room was spacious and had floor to ceiling windows which offered stunning views of the surrounding golf course. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was fantastic. Secondly, the staff were absolutely wonderful. They were extremely pleasant, helpful, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. And lastly, the dinner and breakfast at the hotel were both excellent. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. I had a great time and would highly recommend this hotel.

While there were many positive aspects to our stay, there were a couple of things that could be improved. there wasn't much to do in the town of Oldmeldrum itself.

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel and country estate. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel warm and welcomed. They even had a personalized welcome card waiting for me in my room. The attention to detail was impressive, and the highlight was when they reserved a special corner turret table for me at their pub for dinner. The service throughout my stay was gracious and friendly, and I can't wait to return.

The room I booked was not what I expected, with a small window and a view of the bin collection area. It was also quite hot and the AC was not set for arrivals.
