We had a superb experience at the hotel, with friendly and helpful staff providing excellent gluten-free breakfast options. the location was ideal, just a short walk to the city center and convenient parking available at the hotel. the cleanliness exceeded our expectations, and the room was serviced daily.

Nothing lacking everything was terrific.

One minor inconvenience was the lack of a search function within the database, which at times made it slightly challenging to locate specific details quickly.

The staff at this hotel were amazing! They were under a lot of pressure managing the breakfasts but still made sure to give us great recommendations and tips for our stay in York. the location is excellent, within a short walking distance from the City walls in York. the area is very quiet, and the lovely reception guy pointed out points of interest for us. Just a few tweaks and this place would be perfect!

it would be great if they could provide complimentary slippers to add to the comfort.

Staff were SUPER FRIENDLY, room upgrade was a jaw-dropping surprise. Clean, comfy bed, easy access to city.

Enjoyed the hearty brekkie and exploring the city from a prime location. Took advantage of the large cycle storage , great for my bike, enthusiast self. Multilingual staff made me feel oh, so worldly. Cons: Watch out in the bathroom, or it might be a tight squeeze! .

Waking up to a stranger entering the room with a key, an invasion of privacy and discomforting experience.

rooms were warm and clean - comfy bed - friendly staff, and free parking. easy check-in process. lots of tea - coffee, and milk in the room. cons: couldn't recommend more.

we stayed at New Holgate, and it was a welcoming experience. our room was comfortable with plenty of tea and coffee. the bathroom amenities were a nice touch. breakfast was freshly made with a variety of options.
