I had a great value for my money at Northgate House. The room was spacious, clean, and had plenty of storage. The location was peaceful and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay.

The breakfast could be improved by adding some rolls to eat with the ham and cheese, in addition to the croissant.

A peaceful place to stay, with outstanding location near Dartmoor national park and lovely Abbey gardens. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were excellent, with spacious accommodations and well-maintained bathrooms. The breakfasts were delicious and the restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere. The hotel even had a roof terrace, allowing guests to enjoy the sunshine.

There were no blackout curtains in some rooms, letting in too much light and making it difficult to sleep.

Despite minor drawbacks like noisy deliveries and poor quality cutlery, our overall experience was relaxing, tranquil, and refreshing. we would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a fabulous location, just through the gate and you can wonder through the beautiful gardens of Buckfast Abbey. The staff were all welcoming, helpful and very efficient. Excellent breakfast, good quality and plentiful. The Wifi connection is a good one too. We had one night in a standard room which was fine but perhaps a little small for two people, our second night was in a slightly more expensive room with a terrace, well worth the extra money, a bit more space and the view of the sun setting on the Abbey from the balcony was memorable.
