The inn is perfectly located near the coast, offering easy access to a beautiful beach at Gullane. Additionally, it is conveniently close to the golf courses we wanted to play, adding to the overall appeal of the location. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a complimentary tipple of sherry adding a special touch. The breakfast was top-class, with dishes like perfectly cooked black pudding and poached eggs satisfying our taste buds.

Some areas of the hotel may be in need of attention, but it seems that the new owner is already working on improving them.

Celebrated my birthday in style at a well valued hotel. The staff were full of fun, good-natured, and really made me feel special on my special day. The room was clean, tidy, and a decent size, ensuring a comfortable stay. The little nibbles and sherry left for us in the room were a fantastic touch. Breakfast was delicious and of high standard. The location was perfect for a romantic getaway.

We had an amazing experience during our romantic escape. the friendly staff welcomed us with open arms and offered us delicious food including a mini-cooked breakfast, Scottish breakfast and more. the clean and nicely decorated room had a comfortable bed that provided us with the best night's sleep. the location was perfect, close to the beach and a short walk to the local shop. A bus stop was conveniently located near by, providing easy access to Edinburgh.

It took us a while to locate the hair dryer, which was hidden in a bag in the wardrobe. the toilet was a bit noisy after flushing, which made us hesitant to flush it during the night.

Something was missing in the room.

The hotel's location was perfect for us, with the beach and historic countryside just a minute or two away. It was also easy to navigate both into Edinburgh and along the coast to Dunbar. We enjoyed exploring the surroundings during our stay.

Although the rooms were clean, we noticed that they were not serviced between our two-night stay. It would have been nice if the hotel had taken care of that.

The Old Aberlady Inn truly made our family stay memorable. The staff was super friendly and helpful, making sure that nothing was too much trouble for us. The rooms were beautifully decorated and kept very clean. We were delighted with the delicious meals at the restaurant, especially the incredible chicken stuffed with haggis and the mouth-watering mussels. We also upgraded to the Scottish breakfast, which was a tasty treat with a selection of haggis, black pudding, and square sausage. The checkout time of 12 o'clock was a nice touch, allowing us a leisurely departure. We can't wait to stay here again.
