I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely decor. The wide and comfy bed ensured a good night's sleep. The hotel facilities were great, with a fantastic beer garden and bar outside. The location of the hotel in a beautiful setting provided stunning views and easy access to hiking trails, particularly the famous Helvellyn via Striding Edge. Additionally, the hotel had a beautiful garden with plenty of seating outdoors by the stream behind, creating a serene atmosphere. The breakfast served was delicious, with a large variety of homemade jams. The staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcome.

During our Coast to Coast Walk, we had the pleasure of staying at a charming and historic inn. The room we were assigned had loft windows that provided stunning views down the river. The bathroom was impeccably clean and spacious. The owners, who were experienced Coast to Coast guides, gave us valuable advice for our next day's stage. to its ideal location on the Coast To Coast route, the inn had a delightful bar/lounge and a drying room for our wet clothes. The breakfast lounge was cozy and the homemade preserves were a delicious touch.

Some guests mentioned that the heating was not turned on upon their arrival, causing a slightly chilly atmosphere.

We had an amazing stay in this cozy B&B nestled in the breathtaking Ullswater area. The location was perfect, with the stream right behind the property and stunning views of the hills. Our room was super comfortable and the ensuite bathroom had a wonderful hot powerful shower. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, even packing us up delicious sandwiches for our early morning hike. The breakfast was freshly cooked with local produce and the homemade jams were a delightful touch. We also enjoyed the well-stocked bar and the cozy fires in the games room.

The hotel no longer offers dinner in the evening.
