Stayed here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. the staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. the room was clean and had everything we needed, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. the location was great, right on the cycle path which was perfect for exploring the area. We also loved the trendy decor inside the hotel, it had a nice mix of traditional and modern styles.

The only drawback was that the curtains weren't blackout lined, so the room was a bit bright in the morning. Also, there was some intermittent traffic noise from the nearby road, but that's to be expected with the location.

This hotel offers great value for money, with prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the modern and well-equipped rooms with a king size bed and a view of the hills, to the exceptional breakfast prepared by their lovely chef.

Tricky parking in the evenings due to the popularity of the restaurant, but staff are happy to arrange taxis if needed.

The breakfast at Parkside Hotel was superb! The chef was energetic and made sure all our needs were met. We especially enjoyed the perfectly poached eggs and the plentiful toast and tea. The evening meal was also delicious, with great pub grub-style dishes. The hotel's recent updates and investments were evident, with comfortable beds and good-quality bed linen and towels. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to have an earlier breakfast sitting. Despite the small en-suite bathroom with some issues, our overall stay was lovely thanks to the hotel's location and colorful atmosphere. We enjoyed our time so much that we opted to stay in the hotel rather than venture out to local sights. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a nice location, away from the town center and close to the western outskirts of the Lake District. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside, offering amazing views. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and good quality bed linen and towels. The staff is welcoming and friendly, providing excellent service. The breakfast and evening meals are delicious, with generous portions. Tricky to park of an evening due to the popularity of the restaurant.

The en-suite bathroom could use some improvement, as it is quite small and the shower cubicle has black mold in the corners and poorly fitted tray.

Lovely clean rooms, comfortable dining area and bar, delicious food, friendly staff. Late Sunday lunches made up for us, secret behind the tatty was amazing. Room had 3 beds and a huge shower. Perfect 3 night trip, with West lakes and coast nearby. Will definitely return.

The location of the hotel is great, situated on a cycle path in nice surroundings. They are also happy to arrange taxis for guests and it's a convenient base to explore the nearby Lakes. The rooms are comfortable and well-decorated, with lovely views. The bathrooms are modern and spotless. The staff provide excellent service, going above and beyond to accommodate guests. The breakfast is delicious and there are extra little touches that make the stay special.

The hotel is a bit secluded and there aren't many nearby pubs or amenities.

We also enjoyed the beautiful beer garden for a relaxing evening. the hotel's location, slightly away from the main tourist areas, was perfect for exploring both the Lake District and the coast.

The bathroom in our room was a bit cramped, with limited space to hang towels. However, this was only a minor inconvenience and did not detract from our overall positive experience at the hotel.
