The value for money at Pheasant Suites was outstanding. The room was beyond my expectations, with luxurious furnishings and attention to detail. The location was quiet and peaceful, and the staff treated me with utmost professionalism and kindness.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Retreat in Colchester. As solo travelers, we often feel like we get "second rate" accommodations, but that was not the case here. The Pheasant Suite we stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The traditional look added a charming touch to the quiet surroundings. We were impressed with the little extras in the room that made our stay even more enjoyable. The shower was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious. it was one of the nicest places we've stayed and we would highly recommend it to others.

The breakfast was superb, delivered straight to the suite with a great view of the countryside. the suite was warm and cozy, with the ability to adjust the temperature. the decor was sumptuous and the cleanliness was impeccable. the bed was extremely comfortable, and there were plenty of DVDs and books to enjoy. the location was excellent, surrounded by fields and close to a village with amenities.

My 4th visit to this peaceful and private hotel was just as delightful as ever. The lovely and kind staff make every stay special. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with a comfy sofa and a good selection of DVDs. The bathrooms are lovely, although the hot water could be improved. The showers are great and the views from the windows are amazing. The hotel is well equipped with nice added touches like hand cream, board games, and an umbrella. The hosts are welcoming and accommodating, and the breakfast is delicious.

Had a fantastic break over Easter! the suite was amazing, with the biggest bath I've ever seen! the staff were so welcoming and made us feel right at home. the location was perfect, with plenty to see and do nearby. It was really relaxing and the views were lovely. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone!
