I usually stick to hotels, but my stay at Plas Gwyn B&B in Dolgellau was wonderful. The quality, comfort, and serene silence made for a truly enjoyable couple of days. Our hosts, Julie and Jan, were welcoming and provided great recommendations for scenic drives and hiking routes. The food at the Souspan was the best we had during our trip. The large, spacious room had a comfortable bed, good facilities, and a fridge and safe. The breakfast in the pleasant dining room overlooking the garden was delicious, and the location was excellent with easy access to town and safe parking. We will definitely return.

The location is excellent, right in the centre of the interesting and pretty town. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area and everything is within walking distance. It is also a great base to explore the broader Snowdonia area.

The stairs in the hotel were uncarpeted and a bit slippery, which made it necessary to be careful when going up and down. It would be safer if a carpet was fitted on the stairs.

The welcome was warm and friendly, with delicious homemade treats waiting for us upon arrival. The location of the accommodation was fantastic, with plenty of amenities nearby. We particularly enjoyed the private decking outside, where we could relax with a glass of wine and soak in the beautiful surroundings.

The cottage itself had some drawbacks typical of a traditional Welsh cottage, such as low ceilings and small windows, which made the rooms feel a bit dark. the stone floors were quite chilly, so we needed slippers or flip-flops to keep our feet warm.

had a wonderful stay in dogellau at a beautifully restored cottage. the owner gave great directions and left a loaf of bread & bara brith as a warm welcome. cozy lounge, lovely garden, and comfy bed. perfect location at the foot of cader idris, with plenty of dining options nearby. will definitely return!

I had a very enjoyable stay at a beautiful place full of character and amazing hosts. The B&B was warm and comfortable, and my room had interesting features and a spacious bathroom. The homemade cakes and fudge at breakfast were a delightful treat. The scenery in Dolgellau and the nearby places were breathtaking. Absolutely loved our Thanksgiving stay! Location was amazing and the hospitality was on point! Delicious homemade Welsh cakes and local fudge were waiting for us when we arrived. Loved the nearby pubs and restaurants, just a short walk away. The room was comfy and cozy, with plenty of hot water and sockets. Plus, we had the best breakfast with locally sourced organic eggs and homemade marmalade.
