The hotel is in a convenient location, close to Southampton airport. The staff in the lovely restaurant were very pleasant and provided attentive service. The communal areas, including the bar and dining area, were impressive. Our room had a small patio area which was a nice bonus.

Some previous guests mentioned noise issues during the night, which could potentially disrupt sleep.

Although there were some minor aspects that could be improved, overall the hotel exceeded my expectations and provided a delightful stay.

The shower was great, and the staff in the restaurant provided excellent service. As bike riders, we appreciated the convenient location and the availability of bike storage facilities.

The on-site restaurant, despite the slow service mentioned in a review, served very good food. The room itself was spacious and nicely decorated, and the comfortable bed and brilliant pillows ensured a restful night's sleep.

The reception was unattended upon arrival and the staff seemed disengaged throughout our stay. No one bothered to inquire about our experience during check-out, demonstrating a lack of appreciation for their customers.

Mirror and hairdryer in each room. Separate TV area. Amazing food and excellent service. Perfect location for us as trekkers and group of friends.

The reception staff were friendly and our rooms were spacious and clean. The balcony was a bonus. Despite a big birthday party and a wedding, we couldn't hear any noise from our rooms. The hotel accommodated our request for our 4 rooms to be next to each other. The breakfast had excellent quality food.

We had a fantastic stay at Potters Heron. The room was spacious and comfortable, providing a quiet and relaxing environment. The breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a wide variety of choices. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring that our needs were met. we had a great experience and would recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

The hotel had a good-sized room and an outside terrace for catching some sunshine. The staff were pleasant and the food, especially the chips, was very good. The location was great for visiting the area and there were nearby places like The White Horse in Ampfield for good food. If you enjoy gardens, Mottisfont Hall and Sir Harold Hillier Gardens are worth a visit. Romsey was a nice town and The Tea Cups on Latimer Street served a fantastic afternoon tea.

Almost perfect.

The breakfast at Potters Heron was absolutely delightful. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food. The staff even went above and beyond to make my wife's birthday special with a personalized treat. All in all, the dining experience was top-notch and exceeded our expectations. The central location was also convenient for our needs.

This hotel is excellent value for money, with reasonable prices and attention to detail. The location in the beautiful rural area of Ampfield adds to the charm, making it a lovely place to stay. The staff are friendly and provide great service, ensuring that all basic amenities are readily available. The rooms are comfortable and come with tea and coffee making facilities, as well as a very comfy bed. I particularly enjoyed having a nice little private patio, where I could relax and unwind. Although breakfast was not included, it could be purchased separately and was well worth it, with a good variety of options to choose from.

The only let down was the poorly cooked bacon during breakfast.

The condition of the rooms was not up to standard. There was a musty smell and the rooms were quite dusty.
