We got great value for our money and the room was cozy and tidy. The location of the guest house was perfect, close to pubs, shops, and transportation. The staff at Raniven were friendly and responsive, especially Liam who was always just an email away.

Great little place! The owners were very friendly and our room was lovely - fresh, clean and very comfortable. The price we paid was exceptionally reasonable, we wondered whether we were sacrificing quality at the price we were paying but not at all. Breakfast was good, a continental breakfast with sausages and eggs thrown in for good measure. Loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

Our two-night stay at Raniven Guest House was perfect for a quick stopover before catching the ferry to Mull. The room was super clean and had all the necessary appointments, including a great coffee machine and kettle. The location was ideal, making it easy to explore the town and catch the ferry. The parking spaces were a real plus, although it can be a bit challenging to find a space. we were satisfied with our stay.

The hosts/owners were incredibly helpful and friendly! The location was excellent, with a good selection of food for breakfast. The decor was modern and welcoming, especially in the hall and stairs. The lockbox idea was convenient and the bathroom was very clean and modern. The provision of a smart TV allowed us to log in to our own Netflix and Amazon prime accounts. The location was conveniently close to the center but not noisy. As vegetarians and vegans, we appreciated the availability of suitable options.

my recent stay at a bnb in oban was truly wonderful. but my stay at raniven guest house surpassed expectations. the modern decor, comfy bed, and delicious breakfast made it a great value. the location was also convenient, just a short walk from the rail station. highly recommend!
