As a tourist, I loved the isolated and stunning location of Ridge Cottage. The lack of WiFi was actually a good thing for us, allowing us to truly disconnect. The cottage was practical and welcoming, with fantastic facilities. It felt comfortable and homely, with an accessible bathroom that was perfect for my disabled dad. The surrounding countryside made us feel like we were in the heart of nature, and there were plenty of activities nearby. We enjoyed the fantastic Lake and forest walks in Kielder, as well as the lovely river walks in Otterburn. For art enthusiasts, the Mary Anne Rogers gallery is worth a visit. Morpeth is also within a reasonable driving distance, just 11 miles away, and worth exploring.

Felt safe, nothing to complain about.
