The staff at this hotel were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all of our questions and provided excellent customer service. The food was fresh and delicious, with a good selection available. We especially enjoyed the fact that it was all cooked to order and there were no tinned or processed foods. The breakfast was particularly impressive, with a wide variety of options that could easily pass for a dinner. we felt well taken care of and never went hungry during our stay.

The hotel looked tired and in need of updating. the dated interior was a disappointment and the lack of atmosphere in the bistro did not encourage us to eat there.

The Ripon Inn is ideally located with a 4-minute walk to the market place and centre. The pleasant little Spa garden is right next to the hotel, providing a peaceful atmosphere and a lovely view. The staff at the hotel are happy, friendly, and very attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The rooms are very clean, with tasteful decor, and there is lashings of hot water for a comfortable bath or shower. The breakfast is beautiful, with a wide choice and plentiful servings.

One downside is that the restaurant attached to the hotel is small and not welcoming, so it might be better to venture out to a nearby restaurant for dinner in the evening.
