my previous visit to sheffield was great, but this time at a wedding, royal hotel truly exceeded my expectations. the owners, joanne and david, were incredibly friendly and helpful. the room was spotless and the view was amazing. it was a quiet location but still close to the city. loved the cosy atmosphere and delicious food at the pub.

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Hotel near Sheffield. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room was perfect, with a comfortable bed and a hot shower. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and set us up for the day. We also loved the fact that there was parking available, beautiful views, and a nearby area where we could walk our dogs. it was a fantastic experience.

Our room was spotlessly clean and had a detailed welcome book with lots of useful information and walking routes. The pub served delicious food, especially the breakfast and pies. David and Joanne were also knowledgeable about local walks and provided maps. The locals at the pub were friendly and helpful too. it was a warm and welcoming experience that made us feel truly at ease.

Nothing, it was perfect! 🔥

Spent Christmas here with my family and it was a pleasant surprise. The location may be a bit tricky to access in the winter as it is located at the top of a hill, but the views are fantastic. Rooms were well equipped and cozy, and it was great that we could have our furry friends with us and walk them in the nearby field. The homemade breakfast was delicious and more than enough to fuel us for the whole day.

The room was on the smaller side and had a bit of a vinegar smell that wasn't too pleasant. The pub food for dinner was just average, but we found a nice alternative outside the hotel.

Great location for Sheffield university, friendly and welcoming hosts, comfortable room with hot shower, delicious breakfast, dog-friendly with nearby walking options.

I absolutely loved the outdoor activities offered at this hotel. From guided nature walks to bird-watching workshops, there was something for everyone who wanted to be in touch with nature.

Felt like treated like royalty, no complaints whatsoever.
