The location of this hotel was excellent, with everything you need within walking distance. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the shower was really good. The friendly staff made us feel welcome, and the breakfast was delicious.

One thing that could be improved is the lack of a TV in the room, which wouldn't be a problem for a short stay but could be inconvenient for longer stays. the bar closed early on quiet nights, limiting the options for evening drinks.

I had a great stay at the Royal Oak in Cartmel. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The room was beautifully designed and comfortable. The bed was the comfiest I've slept in for a long time. The food at the pub was delicious and the breakfast across the road was lovely too. The pub is in an excellent location, and the atmosphere in the evening was cosy and inviting.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.
