We had a fantastic stay at a hotel nestled in a peaceful location surrounded by stunning scenery. The spacious apartment was serviced regularly, ensuring a comfortable stay. The friendly staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The meals were large and the basic English food was satisfying. If you're seeking a tranquil break with delicious meals and friendly service, this is the place for you. Despite a few minor drawbacks, like some noise from neighboring rooms and a slightly dated bathroom, we still had a lovely stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

The food at Royal Oak was absolutely exceptional! From the delicious soups to the delightful desserts, every meal was a culinary delight. The waitresses were also lovely and provided excellent service throughout my stay. I particularly enjoyed the unique experience of everyone eating the same meal at the same time, with a little gong signaling when dinner was served. The historic charm of the building, with its fully functional wooden sash windows and uneven walls and floors, added to the overall ambiance. The cleanliness and comfort of the hotel, along with the spacious bedroom and ample parking, made for a wonderful stay. The free WiFi was also a bonus. I would definitely return to this fabulous hotel.

I recently stayed at the Royal Oak in the Lake District for a few nights. The location was perfect for scenic walks, and the hotel itself was impeccably clean and beautifully designed. The staff, especially Ann and Lynn, were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my entire stay. The included breakfast was outstanding, offering a variety of delicious options. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Keswick or the surrounding area.

Annex was clean, spacious, and had ample parking. Chef catered to child's allergies. Large comfy bedroom with friendly staff. Ideal Lake District stay. Good food, fair prices and nostalgic tea experience.

Beautiful views from the room and the hotel's surroundings were breathtaking. The room's bathroom was spacious and clean. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

It was very noisy early in the morning, which didn't allow us to sleep in and rest. Not to mention, the price of the meals was not suitable for the quality that was served.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable with great showers. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. We especially enjoyed the absence of TVs, giving the hotel a peaceful and holiday-like ambiance. The meals were delicious, with a changing menu and a delightful four-course option. The cheeseboard in the dining room was a perfect way to end the meal. We look forward to staying again in the future.

As young holiday goers, we loved the clean and tasteful rooms with USB charger points. The lounge areas were perfect for connecting with fellow guests. The restaurant served fantastic quality food for both dinner and breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located for exploration and offers a drying room for wet gear.
