Despite a few minor hiccups during our stay, the Royal Seven Stars Hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel's character and ideal location added to our enjoyable experience. We were grateful that our well-appointed room overlooked the vibrant main street instead of a mundane car park. The hotel served as a perfect base for exploring Devon's cycle routes and local heritage railways. After a day of exploring, we enjoyed sitting outside with a refreshing drink and a book or indulging in the delicious menu while people-watching. The staff was pleasant and always ready to assist. The only suggestion we have is the need for bike stands in the car park to cater to eco-conscious tourists like us. we would definitely choose to stay at this charming hotel again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel in the heart of town. The location was incredibly convenient, as it was close to where my family lives. The hotel itself is housed in a quirky old building, which added to its charm. One of the highlights of my stay was the sumptuous breakfast that was cooked to order. It was truly a delightful way to start the day. Despite limited parking, I didn't have any trouble finding a spot. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for its fantastic breakfast.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel. The location was perfect, right on a roundabout opposite a bus stop, making it easy to explore the surroundings. The room was comfortable and clean, with a beautiful view of the town. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of choices. We also enjoyed dining at the Waterside restaurant, which was just a short walk across the square. our experience was wonderful.

The noise from the bar downstairs and the street outside affected our sleep.

The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are equipped with basic amenities and feature modern bathrooms, some even with a spa bath. I especially enjoyed the variety of in-room refreshments and the nice view from my room. Breakfast was included in the rate, adding to the convenience and overall satisfaction of my stay.

The breakfast experience could have been better if there were no dogs allowed in the breakfast room. I have allergies to pet fur and it would have been helpful to know in advance.

Not one thing.

We recently had a wonderful stay at a charming hotel in a central location. The room was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were friendly and accommodating, ensuring our dietary requirements were taken care of. The Christmas decorations added a festive touch to the hotel. The food was excellent, with every meal being of a high standard. we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as noise from the bar and slow WiFi connection, we highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed the roast dinners. Although the service was a bit slow, the quality of the food made up for it. The hotel had a lovely ambiance and the three different seating areas for dining were great. The staff were very helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was excellent and the beds were clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

Awesome decor & modern bathrooms. the walk-in shower was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was tasty with a good variety and freshly made toast delivered to the table. the restaurant and bar meals were generally good, except for Curry Night when the beef curry ran out early. Loved the selection of wines, especially the white Rioja. Best aspects: Stylish decor, great shower, and delicious breakfast.

Ordering everything at the bar was a bit inconvenient. Some more choices on the curry menu would have been nice.
