I recently stayed at the Rutland Arms in Newmarket and I must say, I got great value for my money. The room was cozy and clean, and even though it was on the smaller side, it had everything I needed. The hotel is conveniently located right on the High Street, with shops and a Wetherspoons pub nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The only thing that could have made the morning meal better was having a bit more flexibility with the cooked breakfast menu. It would have been nice to be able to choose more than one item from the list.

This hotel is perfectly located right in the centre of town, putting you in the midst of the downtown action. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms, while not the largest, were comfortable and clean, with attention to detail in the bathroom. Additionally, the breakfast included plenty of options for vegetarians and those with big appetites.

The only slight downside was that the rooms lacked much ventilation, but overall, everything was ok.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on their faces. The location is ideal, right in the center of this lovely city. We loved that it was on the main street, near the Black Bear Harley Davidson shop. The hotel facilities were top-notch, providing everything we needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We also appreciated the easy parking available.

Additionally, having breakfast included is a great bonus, especially for those with big appetites or who have dietary restrictions.

While everything was generally fine, there was one small aspect that could be improved.

This hotel is a hidden gem right in the heart of the action. With its central location, you can easily explore the town and enjoy all the amenities it has to offer. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were well-appointed with a very comfortable bed, ensuring a good night's sleep. Additionally, the attention to detail, from the basic amenities provided to the extra fan for a hot room, was impressive.

They assisted with our suitcases and provided gluten-free options in the restaurant. It was a truly relaxing stay with great service.

The hotel is conveniently located, with roadworks nearby making it difficult to access, but once you arrive, you'll find it close to local shops, right in the town centre. The rooms have a traditional charm, with some dust issues that the staff promptly addressed. The service is friendly and the breakfast menu is excellent. the hotel boasts original features from the Charles I era.

The hotel does feel a little tired, with slightly threadbare carpets on the stairs.
