We had a wonderful stay at Saltmarsh Farmhouse Guest House. the location is amazing, right by the picturesque Cuckmere River. the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of, from fresh flowers to tastefully decorated interiors. They even provided bowls for our dog and gave us great tips on nearby walks. the surrounding area is absolutely stunning, and we enjoyed exploring it. We also appreciated the convenience of having bus stops right outside, making it easy to visit Eastbourne. the food at the guest house was fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond by offering us breakfast even after our check-out time. We were truly impressed and can't wait to go back!

Beyond charming farmhouse with excellent food, staff, and service. Modern bathrooms and proper English country home atmosphere. Amazing pastries, coffee, and selection of teas. Plenty of plant-based salads. Great for trekkers and group of friends.

Mind-blowingly convenient location for the funeral we attended, with a stunning coastline nearby. Super friendly staff and a delicious prepared meal upon our late arrival. The 'honesty system' for the wine and beer selection was jaw-droppingly nice. The room, although a bit stuffy, had a comfortable bed, crisp sheets, and a beautiful view. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious juices and very good coffee.

our recent stay in westdean exceeded all expectations. saltmarsh farmhouse guest house was a delightful surprise. from the helpful staff to the splendid breakfast, everything was top-notch. the location was perfect for exploring the nearby seven sisters park, and the walled gardens added a touch of history to our stay. highly recommended!

Noisy kitchen fridges kept guests awake.
