The location of this hotel was fantastic as we had planned on climbing Scafell, and it was the perfect starting point for this and other beautiful surrounding walks. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was well appointed. The breakfast was great with a good selection of options, including cereals, fruit, and a cooked English breakfast. it was a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

The staff were very attentive and friendly, ensuring that my dietary needs were met. The location of the hotel was excellent, with beautiful surroundings for exploring. The room was kept clean throughout my stay, and the hot water in the bathroom was plentiful. Despite some minor drawbacks, I would still highly recommend this hotel. a great experience.

Lovely New Year break in the Lakes! Staff was amazing, always ready to help and welcoming, really made us feel at home. the breakfast was amazing, with a lot of options, perfect for a day full of adventure in the snow. the room was cosy and clean, and the view of the nearby river was beautiful. the location was also great being close to the bus stop and some hiking trails.
