the atmosphere in the bar was inviting, and the comfortable beds in our twin room provided a relaxing stay. the lack of variety in the continental breakfast and the need to pay extra for a cooked breakfast were minor drawbacks.

At my first stay, staff kindly helped with directions. This place suits me perfectly with Free Wi, Fi, Off, site car park, 24, hour reception. I'm coming back for Easter.

The Scalloway hotel was a gem during the fire festival! Charming staff, great breakfast, and I felt like part of the family. Snowed in but didn't mind! A bit cramped after four nights, but the location was superb. The bar attracted locals, breakfast was delightful, but the restaurant lacked ambiance. Gorgeous location, sadly, sea views blocked, and no cooked meals available during our stay. Smooth stay overall, would come back for sure.

Plus, being snowed in for an extra day was surprisingly cozy. the staff made me feel like part of the village family!

The restaurant ambiance was a bit clinical, but hey, the food was to die for. And yeah, the shower took its sweet time to heat up, but it didn't rain on my parade.
