The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is right on a main bus route into the city centre and close to local eateries. Additionally, it is just off a main road in a quiet street with a view of the river looking left. Moreover, it is close enough to the city centre to walk in, making it convenient for exploring.

One negative aspect is that the hallway and lounge had dirty carpets, which could use some cleaning. However, this does not greatly impact the overall experience at the hotel.

During my recent stay at the Shaftesbury Hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room. The big, comfy bed provided a great night's sleep and the power shower in the bathroom was a delight. I appreciated the selection of complimentary toiletries and the availability of coffee, tea, water, and biscuits. The location of the hotel was also fantastic, within walking distance of local shops and pubs.
