the atmosphere was exactly what I had hoped for, with a cozy pub that made it easy to imagine being there centuries ago. the food was plentiful and delicious, and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. It truly felt like a traditional Yorkshire hospitality experience. the inn is perfectly located by a beautiful stream and woodland, and they even have a large car park. the landlord and his family take great pride in maintaining a clean and well-kept establishment, and it shows. I was so impressed that I extended my reservation to stay for four nights. it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location, although a bit out of the city centre, is surrounded by beautiful scenery and offers great walking opportunities. The hotel is impeccably clean, from the well-maintained bar to the spotless bathrooms and deep-cleaned bedrooms. The staff, particularly Paul and Tracy, were incredibly welcoming and provided excellent service. We also appreciated the free parking available on-site.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The cleanliness was impeccable, from the spotless bar to the squeaky-clean bathrooms and deep-cleaned bedroom. The hotel facilities were great, with a wide selection of cask ales and a delicious food menu. The location was perfect, tucked away below an old mill and by a gently running stream, yet still within a 15-minute walk of the city centre. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The full breakfast, at an amazing value of £6.50, was freshly cooked with quality ingredients.
