The accommodations were well-maintained, with thoughtfully chosen furnishings and decorations. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade items and locally sourced ingredients. As young people, we really loved the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at this centrally located property. The owner/host made us feel right at home and had excellent knowledge of the local area and attractions. We also appreciated the discounts offered on nearby attractions and restaurants. The breakfasts were fantastic, freshly cooked to order and absolutely delicious. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Matlock.

I recently had a wonderful stay at Sheriff Lodge in Matlock. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, especially the eggs benedict - the best I've ever had! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bed was so cozy, I slept like a baby. I also enjoyed the lovely garden and had a delightful morning coffee there. The location was convenient, just a short walk to Matlock. Highly recommended, I would definitely stay again. a fantastic experience!

Ziz was an amazing host, her homemade jams, marmalade, and bread were to die for. Our stay was like staying in a 5-star hotel. Beautiful property with lovely clean, fresh rooms. Extra large emperor-sized bed, lovely views, and plenty of light. Ziz, the owner was the perfect host! Lovely, cooked breakfast with fresh, local produce and fair trade. Knowledgeable about the area. Like home from home and will certainly stay again.

I appreciated the fact that the rooms were spacious and clean. the location of the hotel was also great, as it was close to many restaurants and shops. the breakfast was also delicious, my favorite dish was poached eggs with bacon and toast.

The noise level at this hotel was unbearable. I could hear people walking and talking in the hallway, and the walls were so thin that I could hear my neighbor’s phone conversation.

Ziz's attention to detail, great parking, clean and comfortable surroundings, excellent breakfast with homemade bread, afternoon tea and cake.

Stayed at this beautiful old house for a weekend getaway. Lovely touches from the owner, including a book of her journey to buying the property. Fabulous breakfast that left me full all day. Period room and bathroom were charming. Fantastic garden, though I didn't get a chance to enjoy it. Well-appointed rooms with super comfy beds. Walking distance to restaurants and pub. Can't wait to return!
