The house itself had a unique and interesting design, filled with treasures from the owners' travels. the setting was picturesque, with a beautiful lake and ducks waddling around the grounds. the room we stayed in had a lovely view of the lake and fields of cows.

There was no pub within walking distance of the hotel. It would have been nice to have the option to go out for a drink without having to drive.
