I had a wonderful stay at the hotel in Dounby! The room was clean and spacious, and I loved the tea and coffee making facilities. The bar, run by Christy, was cozy and well-stocked. The staff, especially Gareth, were friendly and attentive in the restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast, included in the price, was plentiful and a great way to start the day. The hotel's location was perfect, with convenient parking and a Co-op and petrol station right across the road. I highly recommend this hotel for a great stay in the area.

The location was ideal, situated between ferry rides and close to fascinating prehistoric sites. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed for a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was well-maintained, and the service from the friendly staff was impeccable. The breakfast, served in a small conservatory, was freshly made and absolutely delicious. it was a perfect choice for exploring the area.

I did notice that the bar area lacked a welcoming atmosphere, as there seemed to be a lack of interaction with the local patrons.

the prices were a bit steep and seemed to vary between guests for the same type of room. the Wi-Fi was not reliable, making it hard to stay connected.

My stay at Smithfield in the quiet village was absolutely delightful. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast and dinner were excellent. The rooms were clean, warm, and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities including wifi and a TV. The shower was hot and had plenty of water, and towels and toiletries were provided. The hotel had a lovely sitting room for guests to relax in and the location was perfect, away from the busyness of big towns. I highly recommend this small hotel for a relaxing visit.
