The location of the hotel was not ideal, as it was right next to a busy railway track. Throughout our stay, we could hear the trains passing by, causing some disturbance. However, the room itself was well-equipped, with a plentiful tea tray and breakfast bars provided. The service from the staff was also friendly and accommodating. Despite the noise from the trains, the double glazed windows helped to muffle most of the outside sounds.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a small but clean private room with an en suite at a lovely establishment called Spittal Brook. The check-in staff were friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room had all the amenities I needed, including plenty of tea and coffee, although I did run out of milk and had to use bottled water to fill the kettle. The bed was firm, just the way I like it, and there were lots of towels provided. I also appreciated the easy access to the room through a separate entrance, so I didn't have to go through the pub. it was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Located right by a busy pub with a great choice of beers and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and come with tea and coffee making facilities, along with a little pot of instant porridge. There is also plenty of tea, coffee, milk, and water provided. the staff were friendly and warm.

The bathroom was grubby and the bed was too hard, resulting in a restless night's sleep.
