I recently stayed at The Flying Fish Stables for a weekend getaway. The hosts, Kate and Buddy, were incredibly warm and welcoming. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful nearby villages and public footpaths. The rooms were spacious and parking was convenient. The pub garden offered stunning views and the food was fresh and delicious. a true hidden gem!

Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

We found a great place to stay in the Chard area. The rooms outside the main building were spacious and comfortable, with huge beds and lovely twin table and chair setups. The bathroom was spotless and had both a bath and a wet room. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even giving our dog a treat. The breakfast options were excellent, with a delicious full English and the best steak ever served in the bar.

The bathroom was a little tired, with some grout needing work.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the Chard area. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable, and the hotel facilities were outstanding. I particularly appreciated the ease of parking right outside my room, especially for someone with a large vehicle. The location was also very convenient, as it was close to the main road network and within walking distance of the next pub. The breakfast provided was delicious and filling, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

We loved staying at this place! The location was perfect, nestled in a peaceful and rural area. The hotel had a typical pub with a lovely conservatory where we enjoyed a delicious cooked breakfast. The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. The room had all the amenities we needed, including ironing facilities and a sitting area. The free Wi-Fi was a bonus, allowing us to stay connected throughout our stay. We also appreciated the terrace and patio, where we could relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. the staff, location, and amenities were fantastic, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

The value for money was great at Flying Fish Stables - a comfortable bed, complimentary ground coffee in the room, and very helpful staff. The host was friendly and even booked us a table for dinner in the charming, rural setting. The food was excellent, with generous portions, and they had a nice selection of local cider at the small pub. The staff at breakfast were attentive and the meal itself was tasty. our overnight stay was thoroughly enjoyable.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the food. The evening meal was absolutely excellent, with a wide range of delicious choices. The breakfast was equally delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the owners took the time to chat with me during breakfast. This place really knows how to provide top-quality service.
