I recently stayed at Stanley Lodge Farmhouse for a weekend getaway. The warm and friendly welcome made me feel right at home. The accommodation was spotless and well-equipped, with homely features. The location was extremely convenient for both Lancaster University and the city. I loved the nice touch of finding fresh milk and water in the fridge on the landing. The breakfast was exceptional, with locally sourced ingredients and the kippers were absolutely fantastic. It was also great being able to choose my breakfast time the night before.

We enjoyed the convenience of the fridge on the landing, which contained chilled fresh milk and water whenever we needed it. the parking was ample and easy to find in a quiet location.

The noise from the busy country lane was very disruptive and made it difficult to relax in the rooms. Despite the peaceful setting, the road was constantly busy which was a little frustrating.

We had a wonderful stay at this hidden gem just off the M6. Stanley Lodge Farmhouse, run by the warm and welcoming Ann and Stephen, exceeded our expectations in every way. The atmosphere was lovely, the accommodation was of high quality, and the breakfast was delicious. Ann went above and beyond to arrange a late dinner for us at a local pub when we arrived late. The location was peaceful and beautiful, with easy parking. We enjoyed meeting Peggy the dog as well. We will definitely be returning in the future.

The only downside I found was the lack of accessibility to the city center for those without a car. Although the farmhouse's location was a key factor in its charm, it may not be suitable for guests looking to explore the city without private transportation.
