Almost perfect

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions we had. the breakfast selection was outstanding, with a wide variety of options to choose from, including both continental and cooked breakfasts. the location of the hotel was perfect, situated in a great spot that made it easy to explore the surrounding areas.

One minor issue we experienced was that the pillows were quite uncomfortable, which made it difficult for both myself and my partner to sleep well. It would have been nice to have a choice of pillows, with one soft and one firm option.

The location of this B&B was perfect, right in the heart of the village. We were able to easily walk to everything in the village, including the pubs nearby. The room we stayed in was spacious and had plenty of storage. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with crisp and clean bed linen. The bathroom had good toiletries and a great shower. The breakfast provided was enormous and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from.

That there was no full-size bath available, which may be an issue for taller individuals.

We had a fantastic stay in this B&B located in the heart of a charming village. The location was perfect, as we didn't need to drive anywhere. We were within walking distance of the famous caves and Mam Tor, as well as other pubs in the area. The room was clean and comfortable, with great tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We also enjoyed the spacious bar area, both indoors and outdoors. It was a lovely place to unwind after a day of exploring.

The exterior of the hotel could use some maintenance, as the paintwork was peeling and the window boxes were neglected.

Shower head was a waste of time.

We had a fantastic stay at this B&B. The room was spacious, with a great bathroom and plenty of plug sockets. Lisa gave us a warm welcome and provided all the information we needed. The breakfasts were delicious with a wide selection of cereals, toast, yogurts, cooked breakfasts, and hot drinks. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect for exploring the beautiful village and surrounding area. We can't wait to return.

The best aspects of my stay at this B&B were the cleanliness, hotel facilities, location in the centre of the village, and the friendly staff. The room I stayed in was large and clean, with a comfortable double bed. The shower had excellent water pressure, and there were plenty of towels provided. The hotel facilities were great, with a bar and a pleasant seating area downstairs. The location was perfect, as it was so close to everything in the village. I didn't need to drive at all during my stay, as I could easily walk to all the other pubs in the area. The staff were super friendly and always had a smile on their faces. They were also very informative and helpful, providing me with all the information I needed during my stay.

Amazing stay over Easter weekend! the area is absolutely beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We loved the fact that there was parking available and the location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions. Plus, the staff were always on hand to offer helpful tips and advice about the area.

The stairs were quite steep which may not be suitable for individuals with mobility issues. It would have been helpful if this was highlighted on the website beforehand.

Helpful and friendly staff who are accommodating to early starts for those on specific courses. Superb breakfast with plenty of options to choose from, including the best black pudding! On-site parking and a bar serving a wide range of Yorkshire beers.
