We had a delightful stay at The Talbot Hotel. Our room had a lovely four poster bed, a separate lounge area, and a gorgeous stand alone metal roll top bath. The staff were always very pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and steeped in history, and our room had a great aspect and was very comfortable. There were nice touches in the room like bath robes, slippers, and chocolates. The breakfast and dinner were both very good, and the bar staff even took the time to show us the Mary Queen of Scots staircase.

The room was not very clean and we found some hair from previous guests in the bathroom. our bed was quite uncomfortable and we had trouble sleeping.
