The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the Peak District, with beautiful views right outside the door. The on-site brasserie offers a delicious breakfast with lots of options to choose from. , there are empty restaurants nearby, perfect for a quiet and relaxing meal.

It is not recommended to have dinner in the Brasserie as mentioned in one of the reviews.

Conveniently located near the Peak District for walking. Good access to Meadowhall, Barnsley, and local carvery. Bar with friendly staff. Great breakfast with hot and cold buffet. Pool facilities, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room were all in working order.

We absolutely loved staying at this place! The location is perfect, just off the motorway and on the outskirts of the Peak District, which made exploring the area really convenient. The service provided by the staff was top-notch, especially the receptionists and the breakfast staff. They were lovely and we couldn't fault the service they delivered. The room amenities were excellent, with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, including heating, air conditioning, and tea and coffee facilities. The terrace and garden furniture provided a great spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The leisure spa and wellness center was a real treat, with an amazing indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and various beauty treatments available. We definitely felt pampered and relaxed during our stay here.

I had a fantastic weekend at Mercure in Tankersley! The hotel had a great vibe and the staff were incredibly helpful. The restaurant served delicious food and the gin selection in the bar was top-notch. The spa and pool on-site were a wonderful added bonus. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.

I stayed here the night before my wedding with my mother. The receptionist was more than happy to upgrade us to a larger room. The spa facilities were great and they even extended our slot. The evening in the teepees with the resident DJ was amazing - the service, food, and atmosphere were all fantastic. The building and setting were beautiful, and the rooms had all the necessary amenities. The food in the restaurant was also great.

I really loved the location of this place, as it had beautiful landscaping that made it look so pretty. It was also amazing that I could bring my dog along with me, and there were marked walks around for us to explore. The staff were extremely helpful and checked the menus for my food intolerances, which was greatly appreciated. The room itself was fantastic, with a surprise four poster bed that was absolutely fabulous. I had a great experience and felt very comfortable here.

Although there were a few minor inconveniences, such as a maze-like layout with lots of corridors and stairs, these were quickly rectified by the staff. Additionally, some of the food and drinks were a bit expensive.

The staff were very friendly during our stay and made us feel very welcome. the location is great, as it allows you to easily explore the surrounding area. the comfortable beds in our well-decorated room made for a great night's sleep.

we had issues with the milk for our tea not being replenished in the room and had to go down to reception to get some ourselves.
