We had a great stay at Anchor Hotel! the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. the food was excellent, especially the dishes on the daily board. the location is quiet and perfect for evening walks along the shore. the room was comfortable and we enjoyed the beautiful views from our window. we had a fantastic, relaxing night away.

The staff go out of their way to create a relaxed atmosphere and provide excellent service. The breakfast options are delicious and the restaurant offers a lovely view of the evening light.

We had a delightful stay at a charming hotel situated on the banks of a picturesque estuary. Our clean and comfortable room offered stunning views of the Firth, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. We were disappointed by the lack of information regarding the closure of the restaurant on New Year's Day, which left us without dinner options.

had a magical christmas party at anchor, even better than last time in kippford. staff were friendly & welcoming, room clean & comfy. the food was exceptional & the views over the sea were stunning. anchor exceeded all expectations, can't wait to return!

There was nothing I didn't like.

The hotel is located right on the sea front, offering stunning views of the estuary and surrounding areas. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with excellent views. The staff is known for being friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The food is superb, with a great choice of beers available in the pub itself. The breakfasts are also highly recommended.

The limitations of access to the hotel for guests with mobility issues can be improved.

The view from our room was exceptional, with stunning views of the estuary. the Scottish breakfast served by the lovely lady owner was delicious and hearty, making for a great start to the day. the pub had a great atmosphere and the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was also in a beautiful location, surrounded by National Trust Woodlands and great for walking.

The room we stayed in was not designed for a double and a single bed, causing discomfort during our romantic escape. the double bed made loud creaking noises every time we moved, which affected the quality of our sleep.
