The value for money at the Ancient Mariner was excellent, with spacious rooms and top-notch facilities. The location was perfect for walking, right opposite Samuel Taylor Coleridge cottage. The staff were incredibly friendly and eager to please.

The only improvement needed for breakfast would be to ensure that all the breakfast items are cooked thoroughly.

The inn is conveniently located close to a beautiful garden and offers clear instructions for picking up the key, as the pub might be closed when we arrive. it is close to various attractions, making it easy to explore the area. The room is spacious and airy, equipped with all the modern amenities one could need. The bathroom is a highlight, with a large wet room and complimentary toiletries.

Some areas of the hotel, such as the dining room and bathroom, were not cleaned thoroughly during our stay.

Our recent visit to a hotel in a historic and peaceful village was pleasant. the level of service was fantastic, the food was fresh, tasty, and served in large portions. We particularly enjoyed the 2 courses for £10 deal on certain weekdays. the hotel offered a huge parking lot and free Wi-Fi. the room was fantastic, modern, spacious, and very clean. the breakfast had a choice of food and drinks served at your table.

There was no proper communication about the food board, which had more variety than the menu. We noticed our rooms backed onto live music, which was loud, and we were kept awake.
